April 12 Welcomed Malaysian students (8 Bachelor and 2 Doctoral) from MJIIT, UTM – JENESYS Programme (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) sponsored by MOFA, Jpn. 21世紀東アジア青少年大交流計画.

Mar. 27: Graduation day (for Ms. Lim, Mr. Sato with Master degrees; Mr. Kanno, Mr. Kondo, Ms. Watanabe with Bachelor degrees). Congratulation ! *Kanno and Watanabe will continue to Graduate School course with us.

Mar.17: Lenggoro and Gen attended Prof. Hara’s “farewell” lunch at TUAT Experimental Forest Station in Hachioji.

Mar.15, 16: Gen (D1) and Sato (M2) presented their works in SCEJ Annual Meeting, at Kogakuin Univ., Tokyo.

Mar.13: Students visited a powder-technology based company in Kanagawa prefecture. Also, we had a “farewell” dinner for Yessy and Effendi, our visitors (90 days) who mainly work with Yohda Lab at Dept. of Biotechnology and Life Science.

Feb.16-17: (Two) Doctoral students attend International symposium on aerosol studies explored by electron microscopy, Tsukuba (organized by Meteorological Research Institute)

Jan.28: A meeting about TUAT alumni in Indonesia. Fuchu campus, with some professors and other senior fellows. Three of us attended it.

Jan.25: Five Indonesian students welcomed 9 visitors from JICA/Indonesia project. Host: Prof. M. Hosomi (Chemical Engr. TUAT)

Jan.24-26: Conference on our project “Impacts of Aerosols in East Asia on Plants and Human Health (by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas)” at Kyoto University (Lenggoro: investigator, and co-author of two oral and five poster presentations)

Jan.20: Bilateral seminar on crystallization (Lenggoro: speaker) with a guest from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft: Prof. H.J.M.Kramer) Netherlands and Japanese companies.

Jan.17: With Dr. Asep Sofyan, four doctoral students visited a research lab of a company in Kanagawa prefecture: A seminar/discussion about Safety and Risk, etc.

Jan.16-21: A visiting fellow, Dr. Asep Sofyan (Environmental Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung ITB) stayed on “Impact of aerosols on plants” project.

Jan.12: New year party in Kichijoji, with Current and Former members (28 persons) at Dept. of Chemical Engineering TUAT (Lenggoro: coordinator)

Jan.10: Invited talk (60 minutes) by Lenggoro, for a toiletry maker company (Tokyo)
